In 2012, I learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, became an anti-disposable-plastics activist, and joined the organization Trash Patch in New York City. To raise awareness, we planned on a video mashup, which I would create.
In the middle of obtaining permissions to use video and image clips, I realized through therapy that I had been affected by the 9/11 tragedy and took a break. It was a five-year break.
